Leadership

Bearded man in glasses and suit with lawyer background.

Rabbi Christopher (Brian) Hawkins

Rabbi Hawkins has served as the Rabbi of Beth Ohr Messianic Congregation since 2006, driven by a deep passion for teaching God’s Word and discipling individuals to become dedicated, Bible-focused followers of Messiah Yeshua. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology, is currently pursuing a Master’s in Biblical Exposition, and serves as a Biblical Consultant for the Biblical History Center in LaGrange, Georgia.

Rabbi Hawkins’ spiritual path includes a Southern Baptist upbringing, three years within Orthodox Judaism, and a pivotal personal faith in Yeshua in 2002. Overcoming significant spiritual challenges, he testifies to the transformative deliverance found in calling upon Yeshua. Following six years in the Messianic Orthodox Movement starting in 2003, he felt led in 2009 to evaluate Rabbinical traditions strictly through the lens of Scripture. Today, his ministry bridges both Jewish and Gentile communities, guiding believers to embrace the Hebrew roots of their faith.

His goal is to cultivate a Messiah-centered congregation that shares the Good News of Yeshua with both Jews and Gentiles, while inspiring the broader Christian community to celebrate the Shabbat and the Feasts of the Lord. Outside of his ministry, Rabbi Hawkins enjoys spending time with his wife, Virginia, their three children, their two dogs, as well as traveling, walking bird-watching trails, and researching genealogy.
